A Christian Lie

The lie: Everything that happens has a reason (positive) for it, so I should just accept it / accept the situation I am in.
Well, after some thought about this statement, I realised this is false and there is no verse in the bible that says so. Some things happen because of the work of the devil and have a negative reason for it. But the bible says that God can turn all things into good for those who love him. What does it mean? That we should just sit down on our circumstance and tell God 'Now God, turn this into good just like your word says'? Of course not. I believe we have a part to play. It is true that we need to trust God and rely on him wholely but not with a 'fatalistic' mindset. We need to rise up and press on knowing that the end result of the situation/circumstance can be turn into good and something valuable whether it be in character or material. But God's focus in helping us is not just so that we will gain something but that in the process of trusting God, we may know him more. That's the heart of God. You are in God's heart. You are God's heart. You are his passion. So is everyone else around you.

Correction, swalow my pride

I noticed God has a systematic way on developing someone's character, or is it just me? He takes me through a crash course and gives me some short rest. The the next course begins. I always wondered and asked God, 'when will all this end?'. The answer, never. No matter how old we get how far we progress in maturity, we always still have something to learn, or be taught.
God has been teaching me to receive correction. The last one week, I 'blew' much things with so many mistakes, some even repeated. God has used people to correct me and tell me I'm wrong and honestly, it wasn't that easy to accept correction; pride problem. I know pride comes before a fall, but sometimes we prefer to fall with pride then to let our pride fall from us. So, this has been the issue of my spiritual life lately. I'm praying that though this I'll learn and get the full benefit of what God has for me.

Belief

Will you die for someone you don't believe in? Of course not. A non-christian wouldn't die for Jesus. Even 'christians' don't. It takes conviction and a strong foundational belief of Jesus, before we would die for him. And so, I was just thinking. Would Jesus, the Son of the Living God die for someone he didn't believe in?

Think about it. He believes in you. He believes you can make it. And he's here to help you. So, there's no reason left for us to say we can't do it. There's no reason left for us to say we don't want to make it. There would be breach of trust... 'cause he died for you.
