Of work, people and reality.
It's been 5 months working in the event line.  From running around setting up projection and audio-visual system to occasional videography and photography, the work has taken a toll on my being. Don't get me wrong, I do not dislike the work... but I guess there's more to life than good money. Good learning and good people matter - that, the event line lacks. The event culture in Malaysia is all about earning a living - no pleasure in learning, no interest in good people relation. People have merely become contacts, no longer friends. Knowledge has been reduce to the most basic - so that little time is spent on learning - much more on the job. Most event organizers, suppliers and bosses will disagree... but I believe in the pleasure of learning and knowing people beyond that of survival and comfort.

So, it's time to move on. I'm dedicating the next few remaining months before university life to charity, missions and voluntary work. Of course not forgetting to spare time for my new found passion in photography.

Today I was at Golden Sands Resort when I saw this family playing in the pool. Stole my uncle's camera and snapped a few shots. The shots aren't that great but here they are:

I saw this boy running into the pool - he really enjoyed the water.

Retouched the photographed to give it a portrait composition. Shot with natural lighting.

Again, shot with available lighting at ISO1600 (hence the heavy noise)

This is a sad fact - and no, I have no intentions of inciting hatred againts malays - this are but a handful of imbeciles. No wonder UM is the 246th University in the world...
